Although our prices offer outstanding value for money, they still include insured international Air Mail delivery (courier delivery included in NZ$ pricing). Insurance covers your goods whilst in transit to you.
When comparing prices, ensure you check whether Air Mail delivery and insurance is included. You will find many companies add on as much as 30 to 100% for international delivery depending on the weight/value of the goods.
All international orders are shipped from New Zealand using a New Zealand Post International Air Mail service. This is handled by the local postal service in the destination country, e.g. USPS, Royal Mail, ParcelForce. Delivery addresses can be your home, work or Post Office box as long as they are serviced by your local postal service.
Typical delivery times are shown below. Note working days are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Where an item is delayed by Customs or if the delivery address is in a remote location, it may take longer.

For parcels weighing 2Kg (4.4 lbs) or more we automatically upgrade the service used to New Zealand Post's International Economy Courier (if available for the shipping country). Unlike the regular international Air Mail used for smaller parcels, this offers a full tracking service. This is available for most of the countries we ship to and we make no extra charge for this upgrade. International Economy Courier service generally achieves faster delivery times. For parcels to the USA it is normally particularly fast with many parcels being delivered in just 4 working days!
Note we can never guarantee delivery by a certain date due to the possibility of postal delays outside our control.
Important Note: Postal services often only hold parcels for a short time after a delivery attempt is made - sometimes as little as one week before returning them to us as unclaimed. Therefore if you are not in when a delivery attempt is made, you must claim the parcel promptly. If a parcel is refused or unclaimed you may either be charged storage fees by the local postal service, or they may return the parcel to us by economy mail which can take 1 to 4 months. The return postage, if charged, plus the original postage at cost, would be deducted from any credit.
In the event of a parcel being lost, a replacement parcel will be shipped after allowing 4 weeks. This time may be increased when widespread delays are known about or likely to certain destinations. For our claim to be paid, the claim needs to be lodged within 90 days and New Zealand Post require the recipient to reply to their letter requesting confirmation of non-delivery. In the event of no response being received from neither of two such letters, we reserve the right to charge for the replacement parcel.

Remember that you may have to pay local Customs charges at your end (not usually in the USA unless a particularly high value or wholesale type order but sometimes in other countries such as mainland Europe, Canada and Japan). These Customs duties/charges, including any clearance or handling fees charged by the postal or Customs service to collect them, cannot be pre-paid and are the responsibility of the recipient. All parcels include the required Customs declarations.
As a commercial organisation we are forbidden from declaring goods as gifts. Beware of websites offering to falsely declare parcels as a gift or grossly undervalue them as some Customs Services can delay or even seize parcels that have false declarations.
Our UK Prices now include all Customs charges
Orders to the UK are handled differently to other countries. We are one of just a handful of companies in New Zealand participating in HM Customs' VAT Pre-Payment Scheme. This is used in conjunction with "direct entry" whereby New Zealand Post ships our day's UK orders directly to the UK by air freight. Then on arrival in the UK there is no need for the usual UK Customs processing/charging as all charges are pre-paid. Packages are transferred directly into Royal Mail's First Class packet service so the overall delivery time is often under a week, and UK Customs delays which have often been a problem in the past are avoided.
Normally when purchasing from companies outside Europe, there's a high chance of being charged £8.00 or £13.50 for Customs clearance plus the VAT and duty on the parcel's value. We have eliminated the uncertainty of charging and associated delays.
Items of a particularly high value to the UK are sent in the regular way by International Economy Courier Air Mail service and on arrival in the UK ParcelForce will request payment from the recipient of all Customs charges. As we can't pre-pay this on high value items, we simply reimburse the customer's credit card used for the order on receiving details of the Customs payment made. For details see UK Customs info.
