With so many rectangle and natural pelt shaped sheepskin rug options, the choice can be somewhat overwhelming. So here's a summary of rug types followed by the actual product entries. Rectangle sheepskin area rugs all tanned and manufactured for us in New Zealand by ISO 9001 registered Classic Sheepskins to Wool Mark standards.

Speciality short wool sheepskin rugs

Curly Wool Sheepskin Rugs

Naturally curly wool sheepskins from specially selected breeds of New Zealand sheep. The particularly large pelts have their wool clipped to a short wool length revealing a beautiful look.

Available in 7 rectangle sizes. We're not aware of any other company offering such a choice of curly wool rugs.

Shorn Shearling Rugs

New Zealand sheepskins whose wool has been shorn to a uniform length of around 20mm (3/4 in.) giving a great contemporary look.

Available in 8 rectangle sizes.

In response to customer demand we now offer three new additional rug sizes in wider widths with the largest made from a total of 16 lambskin pelts. All 8 sizes are also available as a border rug for additional length and width.

As always only the very best New Zealand lambskins are used. After a strict selection process, pelts are expertly matched, trimmed and sewn together to produce these stunning multiple pelt rectangle sheepskin rugs.

Long wool rectangular sheepskin border rugs available in 8 sizes. Classic Sheepskins tan premium lambskin pelts to their usual high standard and expertly match them to produce a spectacular floor rug with a border either of a different color to the center or the same.

The center can be Ivory White, and the 7 inch / 18cm (approx.) border can be one of 16 colors including Ivory White. Or alternatively the center and border can be the same dyed color (any of the 16).

Rectangular shaped version of our stunning new curly wool sheepskin rugs. Up to 15 individual pelts are carefully matched then trimmed and joined to create a beautiful, chic floor rug that would make a great focal point in almost any setting.

The specially selected sheepskins are from large, mature New Zealand sheep of specific breeds whose naturally curly wool is shorn to a uniform height.

Rectangle Short Wool Shearling Sheepskin Rugs

Shorn rectangle sheepskin rugs. New Zealand lambskins with a fine wool type and high number of fibers per square inch are selected so that the shorn fibers remain upright after being clipped.

A uniform pile height of approximately 22mm (7/8 in.) gives a contemporary and completely different look from traditional longwool sheepskin rugs.

These short wool shearling rugs are grown, tanned and manufactured here in New Zealand.

Stunning masterpiece created using a contrast of Natural Black long and short wool sheepskin of differing sheep breeds. Made from over 80 pieces of genuine New Zealand black sheep sheepskins that have been intricately handcrafted to make such a stunning creation.

The Natural Black is made from black sheep skins whose wool color ranges from shades of speckled white and brown to grey and black (no dye is used). Due to the vast color variations each rug is totally unique. The Natural Black colors help hide marks and stains and would look spectacular both in the family home or winter lodge. Can even be used as a bedspread.

A rectangular sheepskin hearth rug to complement any fireplace - both traditional and modern. Classic diamond pattern in a choice of three colors.

The Natural Black consists of a mixture of natural black sheep colors with no dye. The brown-tipped (main picture) is Ivory White with brown dyed tips. Finally, the Ivory White color is available in either all longwool or shortwool with a longwool border. The single color long wool gives a much less pronounced diamond pattern whilst the pattern on the short wool version is enhanced by use of different sheep breed types.

At last a specially formulated product for laundering sheepskin products. Woolskin gently cleans and conditions without the harmful chemicals found in most household detergents.

Woolskin woolwash contains a unique blend of non-ionic surfactants, a dispersant to remove oil based stains and a special blend of conditioning agents to replace the oils normally removed during washing. Further, it contains a hospital approved antibacterial agent (Triclosan) which also minimises odours, and Australian Tea Tree Oil (Malaleuca Oil) which is effective against dust mite.
