Classic Sheepskin Border Rug
Long wool rectangular sheepskin border rugs available in 5 sizes. Classic Sheepskins, New Zealand's leading independent sheepskin tannery, tan premium lambskin pelts to their usual high standard and expertly match them to produce a spectacular floor rug with a border either of a different color to the center or the same.
The center can be Ivory White, and the 7 inch / 18cm (approx.) border can be one of 21 colors including Ivory White. Or alternatively the center and border can be the same dyed color (any of the 21).
As the rug is made to order, we can't cancel an order if work has started on your rug and exchanges/refunds aren't possible (unless defective).
As the gentler sheepskin tanning used to produce these rugs doesn't have a strong bleaching action, the Ivory White color is closer to the natural color of sheep; it is a creamy white with some yellow to it.
All tip dyed rugs are Ivory White with dyed tips:
Gold Tip: White with gold/light ginger-brown tips
Brown Tip: White with brown tips
Black Tip: White with black tips giving a grey/black look to the ends
Grey Tip: White with grey tips giving a grey/light blue look to the ends
Blue Tip: White with blue tips
Rose Tip: White with dark pink tips
Due to the way the natural wool absorbs the dye, precise uniform coloring of the tips is not possible. The desired affect is a natural look, not artificial. Some tip-dyed rugs may have heavier, darker looking dyeing than others.
Note the colors in swatch/example images may not be precise due to light distortion when photographing and reproduction of the images on differing computer screens. Furthermore the dyeing of natural sheepskin wool can vary due variations in the uptake of the dye into the wool fibers and differences between batches of dye.
